I woke first. Of course, since I hadn’t been the one to drink most of a liquor cabinet before bed, that maybe wasn’t that surprising. I sat up and stretched, and the first thing I noticed was how good I felt.

I had a decent amount of experience. I was certainly no virgin. But nothing had never made me feel like the previous night had. I couldn’t stop grinning to myself as I looked at him, remembering what had happened.

And that was just from rubbing against each other, too. What would actual sex be like? It might kill me, but that was a risk I found I was willing to take. I got the feeling it would be more than worth it.

Realizing that it made me pretty stalkerish, I still couldn’t help but stare at him as he slept. No man had ever been this beautiful, I thought giddily. Not in the whole history of the world, and now that I’d tasted what he had to offer, I wasn’t going to be able to let go.

Jake rolled over a little, wincing as the light from the window touched his face. I got up and closed the blinds, then smiled a little. He was going to be hung over. I could take care of him. Not really a role I was usually into, but for him, I found I’d be more than happy to make an exception.

I found some water and some Advil, then came back to bed, putting them on the bedside table closest to him. I settled down, touching his disheveled black curls, and watched as he woke up.

For anyone else, I wouldn’t have had the patience. But he endlessly fascinated me. His eyes slowly opened, his face went from utter relaxation to awareness and all the steps in between.

His eyes fell on me, and I gave him a little bit of a smile. But before I could say anything, he groaned and pulled away from me, and I should have expected it. It was what he always did, but the previous night, he hadn’t. Maybe that had given me more hope than it should have.

“Shit. No. We didn’t,” he said, and I winced. Did he seriously not remember what had happened? But he eased my mind of that, at least. “No. We did. God damn it, Will, what’s wrong with you?”

It was a good question, but it was also a question that pissed me off a little. Or it was more like it stung. It had meant so much to me, but he seemed to just be upset about it.

“What’s wrong with you? You’re the one that climbed into bed with me and started touching me while I slept, you sick bastard,” I growled back, glaring.

To my surprise, he winced, and then nodded.

“Yeah. I guess I did. Are you going to press charges or anything?” he asked, and I blinked. Somehow, that hurt more than his outright hostility had. That experience had been so good for me, but it must not have been for him if he could even think I would report him for anything.
